How to make green tea correctly
(2021/6/22)
Depending on the type and type of green tea you plan to brew, each type may have different brewing temperature and steeping time instructions. If the tea bag is not specified, please consult the tea supplier for brewing techniques.
Here are some common green tea brewing techniques to keep in mind: Use fresh, pure, cold filtered water. Spring water is the best. Usually, green tea is brewed in a short time of 160 to 180 degrees.
Don't burn your tea! If the water is too hot, especially green tea, your tea will release more bitterness and astringency faster. If you don’t have a temperature-controlled electric kettle, just let your boiling water rest and pour it on your green tea leaves.
It depends on the tea, but use about 2 grams of loose leaf tea for every 8 ounces. A glass of water is a safe bet. If your tea packaging has specific steeping recommendations, please use these. Cover your steeping tea to keep all the heat of steeping in the container.
Green tea should be harvested steeply from 30 to 60 seconds, more refined tea to normal harvest in 2 to 3 minutes, stronger tea.
Most high-quality loose-leaf teas can be steeped many times. Do you want milk or not? If you like to flavor your tea, it is okay to add milk (or even sugar) to your green tea. Keep in mind that the taste of green tea is generally very light, you can add milk and/or sugar to cover it, and you will also add calories.
